I lay my broken heart
down upon the ground
It is heavy
I cannot bear it any longer

So long I prayed of respite

I did not know the pain
That births new life in me
As a child in birth
My heart cried out
Crying, writhing to be free

From pain comes awesome beauty
From pain comes great release

I leave behind the pain
I leave behind the sorrow

I carry on in Love
I carry on in Truth

I am lighter now
My body sighs relief

The pain subsiding
I greet this new image
The me that was waiting
On me to be

Lost in some version
Of what others wanted
I now shine forth me
As God created me to be

Growing daily in God
Growing daily in Me

Growing
Becoming
Becoming Me

these emotions in me

Emerging

It is time!
Growth has occurred to the point of emergence
I feel the cracking of the chrysalis down my spine
Immersed in the pain of breaking free
My choice is mine
To focus on pain
To focus on joy
For emergence is both pain and joy
What will your focus be?
Calling on God, on Love, on Support
I surrender pain
For joy of emerging
A new creature
Born of Love
I watch as the new emerges
I watch as the old falls away
Surrounded in the Love Light that is God

Becoming
One

Light the Darkness

Light the Darkness

As I travel through lands of beauty

I am suddenly surrounded by darkness all ‘round

I observe the darkness

I am aware of the fear, anger, frustration & pain

But I am only an observer

A vapor

The emotion of the darkness passes through me

I do not take it as mine own

I call on Love Light from God to fill me

Fill me completely and shine forth from me

Love Light embraces the darkness

Covering it in Love

Covering it in Light

I Am the Love

I Am the Light

Filled completely

Radiating God

Shining Love on the darkness

Love Light embraces the darkness

Fear is no more

Anger is gone

Frustration falls away

And pain is powerless

Beauty returns in new Light

Beauty beyond description of mere mortal words

God is Love

And Love is All
