SNOWFLAKES

Watching snowflakes gently descend to the earth, I am in awe of the beauty of their individuality.

Different shapes, different sizes, different hues, yet together creating beauty.

Individually minute, yet together they create a blanket of white that covers the ground.

They look not at those around them, trying to fit in or conform. Each snowflake embracing its individuality follows its path.

The snowflake does not concern itself with what lies ahead.  It does not fear.

Embracing its individuality, the snowflake follows its path lending itself completely to the beauty of creation.

SHINE

Today I choose to shine with all the brightness of the True Light within me.

The star in the night sky does not decide that it will wait until conditions are better to shine.  It shines even when no one sees it.

The star in the night sky does not say, “I could shine brighter if I were over there.”  It shines with all brightness where it is.

The star in the night sky does not say, “I cannot shine as bright as my neighbor, therefore I will not shine.”  It reflects the True Light as it was designed and takes joy in the light others shine.

The star in the night sky does not say, “The sun will overpower me at dawn and no one will see me, therefore I will not shine at all.”  It looks forward to greeting the sun at dawn that it may bask in the warmth of the sun and renew its energy for the dark night.

So, I choose this day to shine with all the brightness of the True Light within me.  I will not wait until conditions have changed.  I will not wait until I am somewhere else.  I will not wait until I can outshine those around me.

Today I choose to shine with all the brightness of the True Light within me: in the conditions of this day, right where I am, taking joy in those who shine around me, fully accepting the light from the Sun to shine in the darkness.

Today I choose to shine with all the brightness of the True Light within me.
