I Saw My Past Today

I saw my past today

it walked through a door with me

while I was on my path

one part greeted cordially

another just looked away

and I

I smiled and shone my light

grateful for the new I am

thankful for the joy

new choices bring

yes, I saw my past today

and I can truly say

I’ve come a long way baby

and I am humbled for the chance
