Into My Thoughts

you came into my thoughts today

and settled in my heart

so I said a prayer that you were well

and wished you happiness

then sent I angels to guard your way

and love ~ that you could smile

joy and peace to fill your life

with a kiss upon your cheek

it must have been just what you needed

for you smiled, eyes glistened

and you were gone in an instant

wishing all the same for me

Where Is Joy

where is Joy?

where has she gone?

my inner child

stands cyring ~ screaming

to find her once again

where has she gone

it’s been so long

since I have seen her

where could she be

it’s a mystery to me

how life got in the way

I hear a voice

to my inner child say

stop making so much noise

be still and look this way

see Joy in the love

of your family and friends

see Joy in the touch

of a lovers hand

see Joy in the birds

singing sweetly in the trees

see Joy in the sunrise

shining light on all your dreams

Joy never left you dear

you simply lost her in your fears

Joy is always all around you

push your fears aside

embrace Joy once again

as this truth does settle in

my inner child starts to grin

laughter erupts as Joy embraces

and we set off for brighter places

Creating Change

Creating Change

As I am gently guided to this pain

that healing may take place

my heart wants to run ~ escape

the memories it must face

bandaged long ago it seems

with hope that all would heal

truth is bandage must come off

wounds cleansed

the pain of it released

for when one is sincere

in one’s service to mankind

a heart completely whole

purified is required

work it is

to heal the heart

look pain square in the face

release it to grace

thankful for the change

compassion dwells

where all is new

garden soil freshly tilled

new flowers grow now
