As a Reiki Master Practitioner and Teacher, I have found that many of my clients and students experience blockages and trauma to the Solar Plexus Chakra – the seat of Self Power. 

The Solar Plexus Chakra is located in the area above the naval and below the heart.  It houses our will and our self power.  When in balance and harmony its natural state is laughter, joy and feelings of empowerment.  When disharmony or imbalance occurs the results can be manifested as feelings of powerlessness, anger, as well as pain affecting the areas of the stomach, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas.

The most common cause of disharmony and imbalance in my experiences has been the result of giving our power to someone else or allowing someone else to hold power over us.  The most common cases I see are a person who has allowed a parent or loved one to hold power over them.  This allowing another person to hold power over you results in disharmony within your self.  Your self power is designed to be yours.

Recognizing that you have given your self power over to another is the first step to bringing harmony back to the solar plexus chakra.  Acknowledgement that allowing this giving over of self power is not for your best good is a key step to healing. 

As you take the steps to bring balance and harmony to the solar plexus chakra you can enjoy the natural state that was intended for you – laughter, joy and empowerment.  Healing of the symptoms of disharmony has followed in every case I have been involved in.

What is Reiki?

What is Reiki?

Reiki works directly on the energy field (aura) surrounding your body as well as the life-force energy (or “ki”) flowing within it.  Coming from the True I Am Source, Reiki exists on a different plane than electrical, chemical or other kinds of physical energy.  It is spiritually guided to restore the harmonious flow of “ki,” directing healing energy to wherever someone has blockages (the GOD Consciousness called “Rei” leads the “ki” to areas of disharmony).

Reiki treats the whole person ~ body, mind, emotions, and spirit allowing an opportunity for whole healing. Dis-ease and distress occur when one or more of our bodies ~ emotional, mental, physical, or spiritual ~ are blocked. Because Reiki works on the whole person the opportunity exists for healing of not only the symptoms of dis-ease and distress but the source of them as well.

Life force energy ~ Ki, flows in through and around our bodies.  Within the physical body the ki flows through pathways known as chakras, meridians, and nadis. Around our physical bodies ki flows in the field of energy known as the aura.  Ki nourishes us supporting our vital functions.  When our ki is disrupted it can cause diminished function in one or more aspects of the physical body. 

Reiki allows healing to occur by introducing Divine/God Consciousness ~ Rei energy to the disrupted areas to allow the balance and flow of original creation.  Beautifully designed for whole wellness, our bodies bring healing to themselves as they are balanced and flow with ki as created and designed.

Reiki, which is guided by Divine/God consciousness, cannot harm, as our Creator knows ours needs better than we ourselves.  Because the practitioner is allowing him/herself to be used as a vessel for Divine service, there is no fear or danger in the healing.  In fact, Divine guidance brings together a Reiki practitioner and client in order to provide healing for both.  In this manner a client is divinely blessed for seeking healing as is the Reiki practitioner for offering the divine gifts bestowed on him/her.

ENERGY HEALING / ENERGY MEDICINE

In the past few weeks I have received numerous questions about energy healing/energy medicine so I thought "Why not post my thoughts here so I can share them with you."  What follows is my thoughts and beliefs and my approach to this gift called healing.

The Gift of Healing is just that, a Gift.  I view myself as a conduit or vessel for Divine healing to pass through me to the person I work with.  It is not me who performs the healing but our Divine Creator who works through and with me and the person receiving healing - we all work as one to set aside what stands in the way of health and wellness of the mind, body, spirit.  

I once heard a Native American Shaman describe healing as: viewing oneself as a "hollow bone" which the Divine Power of the Great Spirit fills and flows through to affect positive change in another.  We are each designed for wellness however, blockages occur in one or more of our bodies (mind-emotion, spiritual-soul, or physical-body) that may result in pain or suffering of some sort.  Divine Healing creates an environment in which blockages can be released allowing healing to occur.  True Divine Healing does not create dependency but empowers each person to learn to "listen" to their bodies and learn to trust their own guidance for healing.

My intention when I work with anyone  is to follow Divine guidance to assist and achieve healing and wellness as I empower future healing to restore the whole body.  As one Divinely guided I continuously study various techniques, both well known and obscure to sift out those aspects best suited to my particular gifting. Perhaps the best known at this time is Reiki Energy Healing.  Once obscure, Reiki is becoming more well known especially since it was shared by Dr. Oz on his show and in an ABC News interview earlier this year. (link to follow)  As Dr. Oz noted in his interview, titanium hearts were thought to be quackery not too long ago and yet they are now standard practice.

I am truly blessed to be gifted to work with others to create an environment where healing can occur. My prayer is that everyone would allow themselves to release the obstacles the stand in the way of health and wellness and open their hearts to receive the healing that their Creator desires for them that they may be whole and well.
