The Dance Your soft caress
long side of my face
the feel of your breath
on nape of my neck
arms so strong
yet gently they hold
draw me closer
hearts intertwine ~ embrace
the rhythm and flow
of the dance
our bodies undergo
as if a memory
of a love long known
intoxicating the scent
as the dance lingers on
till with a final cord
exhilaration meets with climax
and dance comes to an end
hearts racing with the passion
of a beautiful dance
we smile with anticipation
for the music to start again
that we may embrace
in yet another resplendent dance
