Rain Calls Me
The rain pats softly at my window pane
begging me stop, come and play
stand in the rain
arms open wide
head thrown back
ready to receive
gently the rain
wash over me
flowing ~ taking with it
that which I no longer need
lovingly caressing
my heart, my skin
cleansing, renewing
from what was to what is
giving of self that I may be
one with creation ~ one indeed
And as rain washes over me
Mother Earth opens her heart to receive
rain nurtures, sustains
then Mother releases
allowing the eternal flow
of what is received
to be freely given
Rain joins with Sun
awaiting the moment
to give of self once again
